About the Gunsmith
As a journeyman machinist for over 40 years, I've worked in sheet metal fabrication shops, machine manufacturing facilities, and tool & die shops. Finally the idea hit me to put together what I know with what I love, so I enrolled with the Penn Foster Career School and received a Career Diploma as Gunsmith in 2007. Patton Gunsmith Works opened in Sutherland Va. in May of 2008. In 2011, I became a certified AGI Law Enforcement Armorer, and in July of 2018 the shop relocated to beautiful Shenandoah Va. In June of 2023 I moved to 437 West Spotswood Trail in Elkton Va. for a better location and much larger shop and am now open full time.
